The venue is located 11 miles to the North East of the city centre within the grounds of San Diego State University.

It is not far from the Open Air Theatre (now Cal Coast Credit Union Amphitheater) which was played on the 1996 'Slang' tour.

It was opened in July 1997 as Cox Arena at Aztec Bowl.

Since 2009 it has been known s Viejas Arena

A STAR 100.7 radio sponsored show with shorter setlist.

The Jingle Ball DVD was available online (Region 1 US Disc only) after the event and featured backstage interviews with Joe and Sav and short clips of 'LGR', 'PSSOM' and 'ROA'. The length of all the Lep footage is 8mins.

Tickets for this event sold out in 8 mins. Vivian and Phil were interviewed on the STAR 100.7 Morning Show by support act John Mayer.

The stage set-up featured a large video screen behind Rick showing close-ups of the band.
