  • Location / San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Venue / Anfiteatro Luis Munoz Marin

The first show by the band in this city since February 1988 on the Hysteria tour.

The first time at this venue.

The venue is located in the centre of San Juan close to the Coliseo Roberto Clemente arena which the band had played on their first visit to the country in February 1988.

It has been renamed in recent years to the Tito Puente Amphitheatre. Named after the famous percussionist.

This was the final show of the South American leg and the 1996/1997 Slang world tour.

It was also the last time any of the Slang songs would be performed live other than the title track.

Joe once again invited local girls on stage to dance during the extended middle section of 'Slang' which also included Phil's then wife Anita Thomas.

This show was captured on a decent quality video by a local fan.

The band would not play a full live show for just over two years with the 'Euphoria' promo tour starting in late May 1999.

The next performances were a promo show and at an awards ceremony in Mumbai, India in November 1998 during the making of the 'Euphoria' album. Their only performances in 1998.

Joe and Phil would play later on in 1997 with The Spiders From Mars (later to be named the Cybernauts in 2001).
