Forrest/96.9 The Eagle - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

2018 North American Tour Alternate Headliners

"Well we didn't flip a coin but you know for example. When Journey play San Francisco, 'cause that's where they're from, they'll finish that show obviously. So we kind of did that. We actually looked at it and we said OK who means more in there, you know, areas and stuff like that. So that's really how it turned out. And then we'd go well if you've got that then we need that. Look we're closing Fenway Park in Boston and that's pretty cool. So yeah it depends."

Set Times/Third Bands

"Exactly the same every night."

"There are, when we do stadiums, 'cause some of the shows are outdoor stadiums and I know The Pretenders are doing some of the stuff. And maybe Cheap Trick as well. So yeah couldn't quote ya when."

Teenage Cancer Trust Show

"I have to do a show in about two weeks, in Def Leppard. We're doing the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall in London. And Roger Daltrey from The Who asked if we'd do that and you know we said absolutely."

Record Store Day 2018 Release

"Yeah I think we done like four songs. It was a few years ago so I forget exactly what's on there. But we got to go in the legendary Beatles studio where they recorded all that great stuff in Abbey Road. And it's such a great studio so that was a thrill in itself. But we recorded a bunch of Def Leppard songs. Four and yeah that'll be released on vinyl so that's exciting."
