Monday, 30th November 2015

Def Leppard 2015.

Def Leppard will start their 2015 tour of UK and Ireland in Dublin in 6 days on 6th December.

The 10 date tour was announced on 27th March this year when the band also (sort of) confirmed their new album would be self titled.

This countdown focuses on the ten shows and the band's live history in each city with links to the show pages.

The fifth show takes place in Birmingham, England on 12th December.

This will be the band's 19th show in Birmingham since the first visit in September 1979.

Def Leppard - Birmingham, England Live History

The first show here since 2011 on the Mirrorball tour and 11th at the venue now under its third name.

As with other shows on the X/Ten tour a return to a smaller venue. The same one played in February 1980 when it was known as the Top Rank Suite.

The last time the band played multiple nights in the city on the same tour. The setlist on night two included the rarely played 'Turn To Dust'.

Three In The Round shows on the Adrenalize tour and the only time the band have played three consecutive nights in an arena in the UK.

Three Hysteria tour shows with the first played at the smaller and short lived Forum venue on the NEC complex. And of course the last shows played here with Steve Clark in the band.

Two Pyromania tour shows and the first here with Phil Collen in the band.

A show mentioned later by Joe as being the best they had played in the city before the Hysteria tour.

The first show in the city as support to Sammy Hagar.
