Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott mentioned an upcoming vinyl release for the 2006 covers album YEAH! on his weekly radio show last night.
He talked very briefly about the release on the latest edition of the Joe Elliott show without giving any details.
The original album was not issued on vinyl.
The following studio albums were also never issued on vinyl:
'Euphoria', 'X/Ten' and 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge'.
The only vinyl releases for albums since 1996's 'Slang' were for 'Mirrorball (Live & More)' and last year's self-titled 'Def Leppard' album.
The current album was issued on regular double vinyl in 2015 and as a double vinyl picture disc edition for UK/German Record Store Day in April.
Hopefully this new release of the album won't just be restricted to a US website (like a certain live album/DVD...).
Read a 10th anniversary YEAH! album special as posted in May.
Joe mentioned the anniversary on the 27th August edition of his show.
The Joe Elliott Show #327 - 19th November 2016 Quotes
Def Leppard/Johnny Depp
"OK so back to the awards show and out of the shadows steps the man that you and I have seen many times dressed as a pirate. He was a little more rock and roll this week. He was Johnny Depp and with Phil Collen and the house band he ripped through this."
"Before that we heard the Def Leppard track from the YEAH! extras. It's coming out on vinyl pretty soon actually. Our version or should I say it's really Phil's version of the old Iggy And The Stooges track Search And Destroy."
