The New Def Leppard Album
"Even recording. That's how we done the last Def Leppard album. We broke it up into three segments. It wasn't like you know 11 months in a studio. It was four weeks at the beginning of 2014. Then we went back in the studio in May. Went on tour. Done the KISS tour, came back. And I think it was a great way of doing it because you can reflect on it. So it's really good breaking things up as opposed to doing it in one you know burst if you like. Yeah so that really works."
Producing Tesla
"I'm about to - well I've already started producing the new Tesla album. And that's another thing. We're actually gonna be recording it on tour. And you know I've been up to Sacramento a few times. We've actually started the album. It's just doing bits and pieces here and there. I think it's a great way of doing it because otherwise you can get - you can't see the wood for the trees otherwise. You can sit in a studio and you get a bit confused. Whereas if you're doing other things and you come back to it. I think you can get more inspired. So I think it's a good way of doing things."
Releasing New Music/What makes yours different other older bands?
"Because it's inspired. I think that's the big difference. I think there's a huge difference between going - oh, we better make another album for this or that, for the motivation - for monetary reasons. You know you can do that but if you do it for inspirational reasons it's a completely different thing. I'm really proud of the latest Def Leppard album. I think it's the best thing we've done since Hysteria. And I think the reason it sounds so good was that we had the music that we really wanted to share."
"You know when you first or you first become an artist. You wanna share stuff. You have all these great ideas and you can't stop writing. I have the same thing. I'm writing songs all the time. So even though it's not you know coast effective to go in the studio and even put albums out any more. I think as an artist you have to do that. Otherwise you're just a musician and that's certainly what. I don't wanna be just a musician because you know I am an artist and the guys you know. Joe, Sav - that's what we do. That's what we are."
