The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes
Show Intro
"Evening all. Welcome once again to the Joe Elliott show on Planet Rock. And I'm guessing that if you're listening to this show, you are not at Download. So I figured tonight I shall play sixty minutes of music that you wouldn't have heard anyway if you were there. So here we are starting off raising hell as only they can. We have The Sweet."
The Sweet
"A song once covered by Def Leppard on the 2006 YEAH! album which featured a cameo actually from Justin Hawkins of The Darkness. That's the original version though there by Sweet from their Best Of collection. the song Hell Raiser."
U.F.O.
"I was introduced to that band by a friend of mine back in 1975. We both started working for a factory called Osbornes. A factory I shall never mention again. And he was a huge fan and he told me all about them and I was a big fan of Montrose. So we swapped albums and we listened and we learned and I fell in love with that band and I've been a fan ever since. And there they are from their 1974 Phenomenon album. That is U.F.O. with Space Child."
Mott The Hoople
"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show on Planet Rock. It's time for a little break and when we come back drama of the highest order from Mott The Hoople. See ya in a bit."
"And before that Mott The Hoople from their swansong album 1974 The Hoople. We heard the wonderful Through The Looking Glass."
Disturbed
"Now this next song is disturbed. No, seriously it's Disturbed."
Show Outro
"And that my friends on Download weekend is an alternative version of what music can sound like. I hope you had some fun tonight. I shall be back with you god willing next week at the same time."
"Until then I'm gonna leave you with this from Roxy Music. I saw Bryan Ferry on Wednesday night absolutely kill this song. It was fantastic. So I thought why not end the show with it. This is Roxy Music and Virginia Plain. Until next week see ya!."
