Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Detroit/Clarkston, MI with 17 songs performed.
The show took place at the 14,000+ capacity DTE Energy Music Theatre.
The band's first time in Detroit/Clarkston since 17th July 2015 on the 2015 world tour.
The 23rd show the band have played in Clarkston or Detroit and 13th time at this venue.
The first visit here took place at the same venue in August 1981 supporting Ozzy Osbourne during the High 'n' Dry tour. There is no known date in Detroit or Clarkston for 1980 (that has yet been found).
The next six visits all took place indoors starting with two sold out headline shows at Joe Louis Arena in August 1983 on the Pyromania tour.
They would return there in November 1987 for an In the Round show on the Hysteria tour before two more shows on the same tour in September 1988 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Palace of Auburn Hills would host a fourth In the Round show on the Adrenalize tour in October 1992 before their return to "Pine Knob" in July 1993.
Before another show there in July 1996 they would tape a playback performance on stage for Top Of The Pops.
A further 9 shows have taken place at the venue which since 2003 has been played under its current name.
In between shows here the band have also played at Michigan State Fair Grounds (1999), a return to Joe Louis Arena (2008) and the NHL Face-Off Rocks show at Fox Theatre, also in 2008.
At last year's show Tesla's opening set was streamed online by Yahoo! Live.
And this year Def Leppard's set was filmed for a TV special on AXS TV. Footage that will also be used on a forthcoming DVD (and probably Blu-ray) release.
The news was announced on twitter prior to the show.
The DVD and TV Special will of course include the first professionally shot footage of 'Dangerous' and 'Man Enough' and 'Let's Go'.
'Let's Go' was filmed and broadcast on Japanese TV in October but the footage has never been seen outside of Japan or made its way online.
The DVD will be the first time an officially released (full length) show has been filmed at an outdoor amphitheatre.

Joe Elliott - Pre-Rock Of Ages Speech
"We'd like to do something that we don't normally do. Because we are filming this. We wanna make it extra special. So you remember the good old days when everybody got their lighters out?. Now it's cell phones. So we'd like everybody that's got one to get their cell phone out. We're gonna light up this place and make it look like fucking Christmas OK. You're gonna be in this shot and it's gonna go worldwide. Oh my god, look at that. You look beautiful. Look at this holy shit!. That is incredible thank you very much. Only in Detroit. Only in Detroit."
"Fantastic. Give yourselves a fucking big round of applause. How's that. It's nice actually when we get to do something different. You know as I mentioned earlier on this evening. How 39 years ago we got together. 36 years we first came to this area of the world. And we've been able to. Thanks to your incredible support. Keep coming back time after time. But as you all know. If you've followed this band for a long time. We have been through some shit. As you do if you've been around for a while. But we try and we rise above as best we can. And nobody, nobody!. Epitomises that spirit more than this boy at the back here. Stand up once again Mr. Rick Allen!. And as always he will introduce this one for ya."
Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech
"Detroit. Michigan. Thanks for having us. Thanks for coming. Thanks for being here. We'll see you next time. Goodnight."
