Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen was recently interviewed by Birmingham, AL radio and mentioned 2017 touring plans.
Phil says the band will play a small US tour next year alongside a larger Canadian tour. And curiously no mention of any plans for Las Vegas (and the DJ did not ask about this).
He also confirmed Poison are not part of the tour following Bret Michaels recent claims in an interview.
The last major Canadian tour took place in April/May 2015 to kick off the ongoing world tour which is scheduled to end on 10th October in Cedar Rapids, IA.

2017 Tour Dates/Not With Poison
"Yes there's some dates coming in. Poison?. You know I think that was made up - I think it was Bret Michaels. It's like wishful thinking. First I've heard of it. I actually heard that as well and it's like, No!. Are we on tour but yeah we are gonna be touring but you know we haven't got anything set in stone yet at all."
A Return To Birmingham, AL?
"I hope so. Yeah. Again you know that'd be really cool. I mean yeah, we just have to fit it in. There's a lot of places we haven't - I think that that's usually the thing. We've neglected, you know, a lot of the Canadian dates. We usually just go up and do, you know, it's like Toronto or Montreal, Quebec and that and then the rest of the country."
"So we do have a - we have to go up there. So I've got a feeling that - we are gonna do a US tour as well - but it's just gonna be in conjunction with that. There's a lot of places we haven't played. I mean we started this tour earlier on in the year. We was playing places like Hidalgo, Texas and we hadn't been there for like a million years."
"So we really owe a lot of people a lot of stuff. So I'd love to come back to Birmingham, that'd be great. But you know there's a lot of places we gotta go as well."
Playing New Songs On The 2016 Tour
"Whenever you play a brand new song. I remember the first time we previewed Let's Go. You know everyone's like, they don't know it. Even though it was doing well on radio and stuff. Most people don't know it. And they're just sitting there. Just looking at ya like a blank stare. And that happens all the time. That's always the way when you put a new album out. And it takes the time to get moving."
"Now it's totally fine. All three songs we're doing are totally integrated into the set and you can't really tell the difference between that and you know some of the other songs like Foolin' or some of the hits and stuff from years ago."
"So that's always a good sign. You know it's great to play new music. I mean we've always said that's our lifeblood is actually creating new stuff."
