Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott attended the FA Cup semi final yesterday between Sheffield United and Hull City at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The match which Hull City won 5-3 was for a place in the FA Cup Final on 17th May. As mentioned in a recent interview Joe attended the game with a member of the band's UK press company who posted photos on twitter.
Joe seemed to be in good spirits as Sheffield United were 2-1 up at the time. Sadly for Joe (but not Sav...) Hull came back to win 5-3 and advance to their first ever FA Cup Final. It would have been United's first final since 1936.
Joe is probably remembering Sav suffered a worse fate in 1993 as Sheffield Wednesday lost not one but two finals at Wembley. The FA Cup and League Cup - both to Arsenal but as Sav would point out they did win the League Cup in 1991. The only major trophy won by either Sheffield club since 1936!.
