Voice Over Intro

"His career is celebrated with Induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as lead singer for Def Leppard. Joe Elliott. Now he's sharing his passion for deep classic rock with stories and music from his personal collection. Welcome to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on Deep Tracks."

Show Intro

"Greetings everybody and welcome once again to Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and for the next hour or so I'm gonna be playing you a bunch of songs that have been in my DNA for so long they will never leave. Starting off with two classic songs from that 70s punk rock era in the UK. This is The Clash."

The Clash

"And before that The Clash. Started in 1977. That album that we just heard the song from came out just before the 80s kicked in. Mid December I believe of 79. It is the Clash with the title track of the album London Calling."

Sex Pistols

"When that album was released in 1977 they brilliantly titled it Never Mind The Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols. Now in 1977 in Britain that was very controversial. For us 18 year old teenagers though we thought it was the best thing in the world. And what a fantastic album it is. The Sex Pistols with the National Anthem of course God Save The Queen."

The Pretty Reckless

"You zre listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. Now it' time to go to hell with The Pretty Reckless."

"And before that The Pretty Reckless. Unbelievable stuff from the album Going To Hell with a song called Heaven Knows."

The Who

"Fair play to Pete Townshend what a brilliant idea. He finds a demo that he did about 1965. He likes it but I guess he just doesn't wanna bother re-recording it. So what does he do?. He puts an orchestra over the top of the demo and puts it on the latest Who album as a bonus track. Thank you Pete Townshend brilliant idea. It is from the album Who which came out in 2019. The song is Got Nothing To Prove. And Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, no ya don't."

Lou Reed

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And now over to that rock and roll animal that is Lou Reed."

"And that Lou Reed from an album called Rock And Roll Animal which .features some insanely brilliant guitar work by Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter. The song that we just heard or songs really Intro, which is superb. Forward stroke Sweet Jane."

Roxy Music

"Before that Roxy Music from their 1975 classic album Siren,. If you've never heard it check it out. It's a fantastic record. The song we just heard Just Another High."

Voice Over

"He's toured the world as lead singer of Def Leppard. These are his stories and music from his personal collection. Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault continues on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks."

Coverdale/Page

"From the one and only album that Jimmy Page and David Coverdale made together that is indeed the Coverdale/Page album. The song .we just heard Easy Does It"

British Lions

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. Now a couple of tunes from a very talented British songwriter whose been around for decades. his name is John Fiddler. In a couple of minutes time we're gonna hear a song from the brand new album by his band Medicine Head. But here from 1977 is John Fiddler fronting British Lions."

"And before that from 1977 when Mott The Hoople spilt up they carried on under the name of Mott with a guitarist named Ray Major and a singer name Nigel Benjamin. When Nigel Benjamin left the band they got in Jon Fiddler and became British Lions and there from their debut album of the same name. The opening track once covered by my side band the Down 'n' Outz. One More Chance To Run."

Medicine Head

"That my friends is brand new music from the band Medicine Head. Who first bothered the British charts round about 1970 with a couple of Number One hit singles I do believe. John Fiddler was the mainstay of that band. He's back with a brand new album. The title track of which we just heard Warriors Of Love."

Joe Walsh

"This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and having just heard two John Fiddler songs back to back we are about to hear two Joe Walsh songs back to back. One by the man himself and one not so much."

"And before that Joe Walsh himself taken from the collection Look What I Did. With that classic James Gang song Walk Away."

Fireball Ministry

"Vivian Campbell's guitar tech is a road dog named Dave Wolff. We call him Wolffie. Big beard. Big belly. Loves thr whole rock an droll lifestyle. Likes his rock a bit raw. He introduced me to this album. The album is called Sucking In The 70s Back In The Saddle. And that band that we just heard is Fireball Ministry with an incredible version of the old Joe Walsh song Turn To Stone. Thanks for that Wolffie."

Show Outro

"You have been listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And this is Joe Elliott singing off for this particular show."

"Been a real pleasure. I shall be back with you next time with more of the same only just a little bit different. So until then I shall leave you with this which is very different. One of my favourite ever bands. This from their debut album is The Tubes with What Do You Want From Life."

"So until next time take care of yourselves."
