Voice Over Intro

"His career is celebrated with Induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as lead singer for Def Leppard. Joe Elliott. Now he's sharing his passion for deep classic rock with stories and music from his personal collection. Welcome to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on Deep Tracks."

Show Intro

"Greetings my fellow music lovers and welcome once again to Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and for the next 60 minutes or so I'm gonna be bringing you some of my favourite songs. Songs that bring back so many great memories for me. Songs that I like to share with other people who may be like minded. Starting off with this fantastic bit of deep purple fro Sweet."

Sweet

"And before that we heard as I said in the introduction absolutely almost out purpling Deep Purple themselves. From the album Sweet Fanny Adams it was indeed Sweet with Set Me Free."

The Faces

"So five guys walk into a bar, is a great way to start a joke. It's also the title of The Faces box set which just about sums up their humour 'cause they didn't really take themselves that seriously at all. But they did make some amazing music and there from said box set is a live BBC performance of Miss Judy's Farm."

Bon Jovi

"You're listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And this house is definitely not for sale."

"And before that Bon Jovi with the title track of the album This House Is Not For Sale."

The Zombies

"I had the enormous pleasure of sharing a stage with Rod Argent and Colin Bluntstone when Def Leppard were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2019. We jammed All The Young Dudes as the closing number along with Brian May from Queen, Ian Hunter, Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music, Susanna Hoffs from The Bangles and Little Steven from Springsteen's band. We did All The Young Dudes and what fun it was. I've always been a big fan of Rod Argent. I've been a huge fan of Colin Bluntstone's voice but an even bigger fan of the band The Zombies. Who reformed about 2010 I think it was and did this album Breathe Out Breathe In. And the song we just heard from it, wonderful piece of work called Play It For Real."

Yes

"Right then I'm Joe Elliott. You are listening to Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. It is time to switch on the big generator with Yes."

"And we started that little tri-fector of songs off with 1987's Big Generator album. Yes. The song Shoot Hight High Aim Low."

Voice Over

"He's a rock and roll hall of fame inductee curating some of the music that influenced his career. Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault continues on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks."

Ian Hunter

"And before that Ian Hunter from his 1975 debut album featuring one of the greatest guitar solos ever committed to tape in my humble opinion played by the mighty Mick Ronson. The song The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nuthin' But The Truth."

David Bowie

"A nice little conversation piece indeed there from David Bowie. From the box set of the same name. That is the Tony Visconti remix of the song Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud. Originally on the 1969 album Space Oddity."

Manfred Mann's Earth Band

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. Now a couple of songs from Bruce Springsteen. One from The Boss himself. The other one from Manfred Mann's Earth Band."

"Before that we heard Manfred Mann's Earth Band with their fantastic take of an early Springsteen tune called Blinded By The Light."

Bruce Springsteen

"Hailed as a return to form but did he ever lose it?. That's my question. Fantastic stuff. It's the title track from the album The Rising."

Thin Lizzy

"You're listening to Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and now for a little bit of thunder and lightning from Thin Lizzy."

"And before that a band who were an enormous influence on Def Leppard in the early days. Thin Lizzy from their album Thunder And Lightning with This Is The One."

Def Leppard

"As you know I'm not one for gratuitously playing Def Leppard or the Down 'n' Outz even on my show that often. But I figured yeah seeing as it is 40 years old this month something from the High 'n' Dry album deserved to be featured. And I thought I'd play something that was a little deeper than the obvious stuff. So there is from the 1981 album High 'n' Dry Def Leppard with Mirror, Mirror (Look Into My Eyes)."

Note - Actually July Joe, and your 'people' are probably going to use the wrong date again...LOL.

Show Outro

"Right you have been listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And that my friends is about if for this particular show."

"It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next time with as I like to say more of the same only just a little bit different. So I'm gonna leave you this week with this. My best friend, my best man at my wedding and one of the greatest talents who has yet to still break through into the mainstream. His name is Ricky Warwick. And from the album Tattoos And Alibis this is indeed the title track."

"So until next time stay safe."
