Show Intro

"Greetings music lovers and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Great to be with you once again. How's your week been?. Good. Me too. What have we got lined up for you tonight?. Well in my humble opinion, as I like to say, sixty minutes of some fantastic tunes. Starting off with AC/DC."

AC/DC

"It does seem just a little weird to me releasing a new album when you've been around as long as AC/DC. Knowing full well that you're not instantly gonna be touring it. And that same goes for every band. But when you've been doing it since 1973 like those guys have. it's got to be extra weird. But we're glad that the new music is coming. And there from their latest album Power Up is AC/DC with Realize."

KISS

"OK next up a couple of tunes celebrating that great city that is Detroit. Motown. The Motor City. Starting off with KISS."

"And before that from the box set. Or the version is the front cut off version if you like. It's KISS. Originally on their 1976 album Destroyer. The song Detroit Rock City."

Alice Cooper

"Absolutely brand new stuff there from the coop. Yes that's Alice Cooper. The album is Detroit Stories. The song Rock And Roll. Originally written and recorded by Lou Reed."

The Pretty Reckless

"OK so here's another couple of artists that have written and recorded brand new music during this lockdown. Well done to them. Starting off with The Pretty Reckless."

"And before that The Pretty Reckless from their album Death By Rock And Roll with Only Love Can Save Me Now.

Foo Fighters

"Rapidly becoming my favourite Foo Fighters album ever. It's that good. It really is a great album. It's called Medicine At Midnight. It's the Foos. The song possibly, in my humble opinion, the best track on the album. It's called Waiting On A War."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. It's time for a little break and when we come back, a song featuring one of the greatest guitar solos of all time."

Ian Hunter

"And before that Ian Hunter from his 1975 debut solo album. With a fantastic guitar solo by one Mr. Mick Ronson. The song The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothin' But The Truth ."

Neil Young

"I've often been qouted as not being the biggest Neil Young fan on the planet. But at last count I've got 16 Neil Young albums. So I guess I am a bit of a fan really. Specifically that song. I think it is a great bit of work. That is the version from Live Rust. The song is The Needle And The Damage Done."

Jethro Tull

"OK let's stick with the acoustic stuff for a little while longer. This is Jethro Tull."

"And before that Jethro Tull. These days it's a bonus track on the 40th anniversary special edition of Aqualung. It was originally on the Living In The Past collection and a standalone five track single that went to Number 11 in 1971. Giving Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull their biggest chart success since the song Living In The Past. It is Life's A Long Song."

Lindisfarne

"Does it sound a little whimsical?. Of course. Is it brilliant?. Absolutely. It is Lindisfarne from the album Dingly Dell with the brilliant Mandolin King."

Roxy Music

"And if you can believe it. This next crowd actually opened for Jethro Tull in America in 1972. This is Roxy Music."

"And before that Roxy Music from their second album For Your Pleasure with the immortal Do The Strand."

The Psychedelic Furs

"From their latest album Made Of Rain. That is The Psychedelic Furs with a great bit of work called The Boy Who Invented Rock And Roll."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time."

"So until then I shall leave you with this. From a band who seem to have forgotten who they are. So I'm here to remind them. From their debut album in 1977. This is The Clash with What's My Name. Until next week see ya."
