Show Intro

"Greetings my fellow music lovers and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the magnificent Planet Rock. Great to be with you as always. What do we have in store as I like to say, a bit of this and a bit of that. So let's head off in another world with Cheap Trick."

Cheap Trick

"Def Leppard has toured with that band on numerous occasions and I can absolutely say from the bottom of my heart that they are wonderful wonderful people as well as a fantastic band. It is a pleasure to know them. They are Cheap Trick there from their latest album In Another World with the aptly titled The Summer Looks Good On You because recently we have had some thunderstorms metaphorically speaking and weather wise. But we are slowly but surely getting there."

The Rolling Stones

"Right then so here are the masters followed by the apprentice. This is The Rolling Stones."

"And before that the masters, as I said, The Rolling Stones from the album It's Only Rock And Roll with Dance Little Sister."

The Black Crowes

"Always that a great Stonesy vibe about them that band. Hence the introduction as the apprentice because let's be honest The Rolling Stones did set out that stall many many years before. That's The Black Crowes from the album Southern Harmony And Musical Companion with Hotel Illness. Something I have not been suffering from for quite a while now."

Keith Richards

"OK so sort of sticking with The Rolling Stones for this next track. Here's a couple of songs that I picked up from Record Store Day. Here recorded live at The Town And Country Club in Kentish Town London in 1995 is Keith Richards."

"And before that Keith Richards with his very expensive Winos. From the Town And Country Club in 1995 with a superb live version of The Rolling Stones classic Gimme Shelter."

Tom Petty

"That my dear friends is Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers from a Record Store Day release called Angel Dream Songs And Music From The Original Soundtrack of She's The One. It's a movie that came out a long while back. 20 odd years ago along with the original soundtrack by Tom Petty. Which was very under the radar at the time. But I remember with great fondness listening to that album with Ricky Warwick and Ronan McHugh Def Leppard's engineer and Ricky's at the time. When we were making Ricky Warwick's first solo album Tattoos And Alibis. We picked that album apart for the sounds. For the production. And for the arrangements. It's a fantastic album. And this Record Store Day version is very different to the original. So it's a collector's piece for sure if you're a fan of Tom Petty. There's three of four songs off the original left off. And some songs that weren't on the original put on. So it's actually a pretty different album. The song that we heard Grew Up Fast."

"Right coming up some Medicine At Midnight with the Foo Fighters."

Foo Fighters

"And before that the Foo Fighters. I've said it before and I shall say it again. It is my favourite album of mine that they've ever made. And this is probably my favourite song that they've ever done. The album is Medicine At Midnight. The song Waiting On A War."

Uriah Heep

"Cor blimey I haven't heard that for a while. What a fantastic tune. From the deluxe edition of Demons And Wizards that is Uriah Heep. I think it was 1972 wasn't it. Traveller In Time. Great stuff."

Marizane

"OK so as I like to say on occasions bonkerzoid time. This is Marizane."

"And before that Marizane produced by one Mr. Tony Visconti. From an album, get this, called Songs From The Album Hyper Cube Slide Show with a great bit of mad work called Sad Foolish Robot."

The Beatles

"Taken from the super deluxe edition of the White Album that is The Beatles. It's the 2018 Giles Martin stereo remix of a fantastic John Lennon composition called Julia."

The Ramones

"OK to the devil with your underwear. Let's go commando. This is The Ramones."

"Preceded by The Ramones all the way from New York. It's from their collection Mania with Commando."

The Clash

"Marvellous stuff from The Clash there from their debut album back in 1977. That is London's Burning."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time."

"So until then I shall leave you with this. This is Sweet giving us the wink with Lies In Your Eyes. Until next week see ya!."
