Show Intro

"Aye Aye! Welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the amazing Planet Rock. Great to be with you once again. I have got some stuff tonight wow. Some of it's brand new, some of it is classic old stuff. Nice mixture of everything. Starting off with this track absolutely brand spanking new. Featuring Dave Grohl this is Mick Jagger."

Mick Jagger

"Now folks if proof was ever needed that age was no barrier you just heard it in three minutes and forty seven seconds. Fantastic stuff from one Mr. Mick Jagger. Channelling The New York Dolls and Iggy And The Stooges and of course classic Rolling Stones. Featuring Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters on every other instrument except of course for Mick Jagger's voice and his rhythm guitar. A fantastic song all about the ease out of lockdown. That we all know can not come quick enough. The tune which I shall be playing for a long long time is called Eazy Sleazy."

Foo Fighters

"Oh and talking of Dave Grohl."

"And before that we heard the Foo Fighters from their brand new album Medicine At Midnight which is absolutely my favourite album that they've ever made. The song we heard, the opening track, Making A Fire."

Crossfire Eagles

"That is the Crossfire Eagles from an E.P. called Major Arcane which has been out about five or six weeks now. The track that we just heard Episode. Best work they've done so far in my humble opinion."

Cheap Trick

"It's all very exciting having all this new music isn't it. Let's keep on that track for now. This is brand new Cheap Trick."

"And before that absolutely brand new stuff from Cheap Trick. The album is called In Another World. I'm just getting into it so I don't really have an opinion on it yet. But they don't make bad records. The song that we heard Light Up the Fire.

The Pretty Reckless

"The opening and indeed title track of their latest album. That is The Pretty Reckless with Death By Rock And Roll."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show on the wonderful Planet Rock. It is time for a little break and after said break, we shall be moving towards more classic rock territory. Starting off with a little trip down the old yellow brick road with Elton John."

Elton John

"And before that Elton John from what I would consider to be one of the greatest albums ever made. Which is some statement considering it's like a 17 track album. Original classic vinyl double album. 1973's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. The song we heard All The Girls Love Alice."

Neil Young

"That might just be my favourite ever Neil Young song. Great stuff. It's from 1972's Harvest album. The song Heart Of Gold."

Alice Cooper

"And talking of Alice."

"And before that Alice Cooper. Brilliant stuff from the 1971 breakthrough album School's Out with Looney Tune."

The Kinks

"From 1984 when The Kinks had tuned into a full on rock band. Not just that kind of pop rock that they were doing in the 60s. It's a great album Word Of Mouth. As I said it's The Kinks. The song is Do It Again."

Peter Gabriel

"Here's a couple of songs with what you might call a generational connection. Starting off with Peter Gabriel."

"That was preceded by Peter Gabriel once the lead singer in Genesis. And that's what I mean about the generational connection if you like 'cause Marillion obviously were big fans of Genesis. Peter Gabriel was a big hero to Fish at one stage. I just thought they'd sound hood together. As I said the Fish song Party's Over. The Peter Gabriel song, from his eponymously titled first solo album Peter Gabriel, which was also the name of his second, third and possibly fourth solo albums, is the magnificent Modern Love."

Fish

"Weltschmerz. There I said it. Weltschmerz. That's my interpretation of how you pronounce the title of Fish's latest album. Great song called This Party's Over. And of course Fish once the lead singer in Marillion."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time with how I like to say more of the same only just a little bit different."

"So until then I'm gonna leave you with this. And dedicate this to the sha la la la push push kid's all over the land. And yes especially you Mandy. This is the Mick Ralphs only version of the 1973 Mott The Hoople hit Roll Away The Stone. Till next week see ya."
