Def Leppard played their first performance of 2024 at a pub in Burnley, England this week as part of the Bank Of Dave The Sequel movie.

The 'Bank Of Dave' movie was released in January 2023 in the UK and featured Def Leppard in a major end of film concert sequence.

'Bank Of Dave' is based on the life of businessman Dave Fishwick from Burnley and the opening of his bank Burnley Savings & Loans Ltd.

It featured Rory Kinnear playing the role of Dave.

Bank Of Dave The Sequel

'Bank Of Dave 2' was first announced in April 2023.

The band have posted a new photo from 21st March showing them on a visit to the set in Burnley, England.

The film is currently titled 'Bank of Dave: The Sequel'.

On 14th March Netflix and Tempo Productions both announced more film details and new cast members.

Def Leppard were quietly mentioned in the press release as cast members and then mentioned by Dave Fishwick himself in the teaser video.

'Bank Of Dave 2' sees lead actor Rory Kinear reprising his role as Dave Fishwick and Jo Hartley returning as his wife Nicola.

The sequel sees "Dave Fishwick taking on a new and more dangerous adversary: The Payday Lenders" and is also being directed by Chris Foggins.

Def Leppard Burnley Pub Performance

Presumably on the same date as the photo, 21st March, Def Leppard made their first appearance of 2024.

The venue was The Talbot pub in Burnley, Lancashire, England with the band performing an unknown number of songs.

"'Rock Of Ages' and 'Photograph' (among others) seem likely candidates after 'PSSOM' and 'Animal' already made it into film #1,

Burnley was the location of the first film where the band pretended to play at the Turf Moor football stadium.

Like the 2022 movie shoot it comes a few months before another North American stadium tour.

It is also the first time the band have performed in Burnley.

Dave Fishwick can be seen in the teaser video below outside the venue and announcing Def Leppard's performance.

The Talbot Pub

One of the Instagram posts below shows a local band performing on the pub's stage in recent years before its closure.

Interestingly the pub itself is currently closed down as of 2021 due to issues caused by the pandemic.

Bank Of Dave #1

In March 2022 the band played three songs at Production Park studios in Wakefield, England with two of them featuring in the first film.

The movie was released on 16th January 2023 on Netflix UK to rave reviews and was the #1 film in the UK for many weeks.

Vivian Campbell/Last In Line Cancellation

This date of 21st March finally reveals the Def Leppard event that Vivian cancelled two Last In Line shows for.

Last In Line were due to play in Harrison, OH on 22nd March and Portage, IN on 23rd March.

The venue in Harrison, OH posted on 17th January that the already rescheduled show was cancelled because Vivian had "a Def Leppard show scheduled and has to be there.".
