Mick Ronson Memorial Concert

On 29th April 1994 the first Mick Ronson Memorial Concert took place in London, England.

The show at Hammersmith Odeon featured Joe Elliott and Phil Collen playing a short 7 song set.

Joe sang lead vocals for The Spiders From Mars band with Phil joining them for a couple of songs.

The band included original Spiders From Mars members Woody Woodmansey (drums) and Trevor Bolder (bass).

The performance would inspire the 1997 UK tour and later the Cybernauts Japanese tour and album release in 2000/2001.

The show also featured Joe's only live performance of 'Don't Look Down', the joint single with Mick Ronson from the 'Heaven And Hull' album which was released in the same year.

"I've been a fan since I was twelve years old."

"I'm not a guitarist but I'm a fan of good guitarists."

"And he is my favourite guitarist, he was my favourite guitar player of all time."

"If you can sing a solo that somebody plays I think it's a bit more meaningful than like look how fast I can play."

"It's more like look how good this is for the song."
