Def Leppard played another show on The World Tour 2023 last night in Lisbon, Portugal with 17 songs performed.
The show took place at the 55,000 capacity Passeio Marítimo de Algés.
The first show in this city since October 1996.
A show by the sea.
Sunshine By The Sea
From Northern European fields to a beautiful location by the sea in sunny Lisbon aka Oeiras.
13 miles to the West of the main city to be precise and within the Passeio Marítimo de Algés.
Basically a big open area where they also hold the NOS Alive festival.
A Return To Portugal
Playing here for the first time in almost 27 years.
To (near) the city where Joe wrote the lyrics to Desert Song in May 1993.
The show itself did not start exactly on time and was delayed by about 10 to 15 minutes from the scheduled start time of 7:30pm.
Local (and UK) time, with Portugal being in the same time zone, much like Tangier, Morocco on the Three Continents In One Day event in 1995.

The Quartet Of Whoa!
The local band called The Quartet Of Whoa! opened the show at 6:30pm.
Like some recent opening acts they were not announced until the day before the show.
17 Song Setlist
The same 17 song setlist played once more.
All three 'Diamond Star Halos' songs played in Portugal for the first time.
Lisbon/Portugal History
The band first played Lisbon/Cascais in May 1993 on the Adrenalize tour at Cascais Pavilion.
They returned to the same venue in October 1996 on the Slang tour.
Making last night's show only their third ever appearance in Portugal and in or near Lisbon.
One of the least played major European countries in their touring history.
In fact Sav (who apparently owns a property here) has probably visited the country more on his own than the band have for concerts.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Madrid, Spain on 24th June.
