JOE ELLIOTT Previews DEF LEPPARD'S Hysteria Tour DVD With EXCITABLE On His Radio Show

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott played a new live song on his Planet Rock radio show last night from the upcoming Hysteria Tour DVD.

Joe hosted another of his weekly Joe Elliott Show last night on Planet Rock.

At the end of the show which celebrated Planet Rock's The Rocks 2020 awards which Def Leppard won two of, he played a live version of 'Excitable'.

Initially, at least by me, thought that he was simply playing the 2013 VIVA! Hysteria version the intro soon revealed it was recorded in London when Joe said..."London" (bit of a giveway...). As mentioned recently the song was recorded along with the entire show on 6th December 2018 at the O2 Arena.

The O2 Arena show will be part of the new 20/20 Vision series of releases.

Update - Amazon USA have revealed the title of the album/concert film as Hysteria Live and list the clear double vinyl version so far with a release date of 24th April. Oh and the cover artwork is there too. (Thanks to Jenny)

Obviously, as with the box set on Amazon UK, this date could yet change.

The 20/20 Vision tour was announced last week with a new leg of shows in the USA in September and October with ZZ Top.

The playing of this song from the London show suggests an announcement of the release date will be coming very soon.

UK Hysteria Tour 2018/Las Vegas 2019 DVD

Joe announced had announced during a January interview that the Sin City Residency live DVD will be released "soon" along with the UK Hysteria tour DVD from 2018.

They will be part of a double DVD/Blu-ray set.

Possibly the first in the 20/20 Vision series of releases that Joe said will come out throughout 2020.

Late last year Joe told SiriusXM that the Vegas release would come out in the 'first quarter' of 2020.

The Vegas DVD was recorded over two nights in September 2019. The final Sin City Resindency shows were filmed and featured 28 different songs played over the two gigs.

The O2 Arena show in December 2018 was filmed with a professional film crew and initially said to be part of a cinema release by the band's photographer.

That show took place on 6th December 2018 and included the full Hysteria album and five more songs including 'Wasted'. The first time the band had played this arena and a show which sold out in a couple of hours.
