Classic Def Leppard Concert Review 2 Irvine, CA 1988

Hysteria 1987.

Def Leppard played a Hysteria tour show in Irvine, CA on 19th August 1988 and a second archive concert review is available to read.

Los Angeles Times reviewed the show which took place at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.

The first visit to this city since April 1983 on the Pyromania tour.

Los Angeles Times - Online Review Quote

"Joe Elliott makes an amiable front man, and Rick Allen is certainly the best one-armed drummer since Moulty of the 60s garage band the Barbarians."

"But for all the nifty melodies of tunes like 'Hysteria' and anthemic posturing of such numbers of 'Rock Of Ages', there wasn't an enduring classic and hence a legacy the band to be found in the whole two-hour plus show."

This and other archive concert reviews can be found on the show pages in the Tour History.
