DEF LEPPARD's LOVE BITES Video In Classic Top Of The Pops Episode

Def Leppard's Love Bites video was featured on Top Of The Pops in July 1988 and the show was re-broadcast last week.

The band were featured once again on the show on 21st July 1988.

The fifth UK single from the 'Hysteria' album 'Love Bites' had its promo video included in this episode.

Promo videos were shown when an artist was on tour as Def Leppard were at the time in the USA.

This episode was rebroadcast again in BBC Four last week.

The 'Hysteria' and 'Armageddon It' videos had also been shown in 1987 and early 1988.

With only two singles released in 1988 in the UK the band would not be featured again until early 1989 when 'Rocket' was issued as the sixth UK single.

Today marks 31 years since 'Love Bites' became the band's first and only Number One single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the USA.
