Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Hope you're all well. Hope you're all in fine fettle and enjoying this amazing weather that we seem to be having at least here in Ireland the weather has been fantastic. And it's been gigsville all week. I've been to see some amazing bands this week. We shall hear music from said bands in a little while. But for right now two words. He's back!."

Whitesnake

"The video for that song dropped appropriately enough on Valentine's Day. that is absolutely brand spanking new Whitesnake from the up and coming album. Don't have a release date for it yet but the song we just heard Shut Up And Kiss Me. Oh David."

Steely Dan

"I mentioned at the top of the show that I've been to see some bands this week. Here's one of them. This is Steely Dan."

"And before that Steely Dan from their album You Can't Buy A Thrill with the magnificent Reelin' In The Years."

Traffic

"It was Thursday evening when I went to see Steely Dan supported by the wonderful Mr. Steve Winwood. So I thought I'd play them back to back. There in fact it was Traffic featuring Steve Winwood from his collection that's called The Finer Things. It is Dear Mr. Fantasy."

Dr. Feelgood

"So that was Thursday taken care of. Where did I go last night? Well I went to a beautiful little old Victorian theatre called The Olympia to see The Stranglers and they were supported by this crowd. Dr. Feelgood."

"And before that we heard Dr. Feelgood who opened for The Stranglers last night but in fairness only in name. There wasn't one person on stage that played on any of those classic 70s albums. Of which the song we just heard came from the Stupidity live album half recorded in Southend and half of it recorded at the Sheffield City Hall back in 1975. The song that we heard Roxette."

The Stranglers

"From their 1977 debut album Rattus Norvegicus that is The Stranglers with Goodbye Toulouse."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show on the wonderful Planet Rock. It is time for a little break and when we come back, we're gonna get down and dirty with the Quo."

Status Quo

"And before that Status Quo from the album Blue For You and one of the best things in my opinion that they ever did Mystery Song."

Wishbone Ash

"Couple of songs back to back there that were guaranteed to get the dandruff flying around in any Town or City Hall back in the mid to late 70s. We just heard Wishbone Ash from the album Argus with the classic Blowin' Free."

The Struts

"Right from old school to absolutely new school. This is The Struts."

"And before that The Struts who have just finished their UK tour but they didn't come to Dublin so I still have yet to see that band live. So for nowI just have to keep playing their records over and over again. Which is something that I do. Their latest album is Young And Dangerous. The song we just heard Body Talks."

Muse

"From last year's Simulation Theory that is Muse with Pressure."

Free

"Well we've heard old school, we've heard new school and now a band that are way too cool for any school. This is Free."

"And before that the band, well, what can you say about that man's pipes. Paul Rodgers fronting the band Free from the album Free At Last. The song Travellin' Man."

Steeler's Wheel

"Featuring the wonderful talents of Mr. Joe Egan and future solo star Gerry Rafferty that is Steeler's Wheel from their album Stuck In The Middle With You which is the title of their biggest ever hit. But the song we just heard was Star."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. God willing I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time for sixty more minutes of what I like to think is fantastic music."

"So until then I'll leave you with this. From their 40th anniversary re-release of the album Farewell To Kings and their only ever Top 40 UK single. This is Rush and Closer To The Heart. Until next week see ya!."
