Def Leppard begin the UK and Irish leg of their 2018 world tour on 1st December in Dublin and these updates look back at previous tours.

The 2018 UK and Ireland 'Hysteria &' More' tour starts in seven days time.

The first UK tour since December 2015 and first concerts in England since March 2018 when the band played at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust series.

The 'Hysteria' album will be played in full and in sequence for the first time in the UK and Ireland.

The first date takes place at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday 1st December.

Shown below are all of the previous concerts in Dublin starting way back in February 1983.

The 2018 show will be the 13th time the band have played in the city which is where the band relocated to in February 1984 and would start work on the 'Hysteria' album.

The venue (then a disused railway depot) is also where the back cover photo for 'Animal' (and 'Women') would be shot in December 1985. The band photos used on the inside sleeve and back covers of the album in 1987 where also shot in Dublin on the same day.

Def Leppard 2018 UK Hysteria & More UK/Ireland Tour Dates

Due to high demand for the first London show this new date was added.


Billed as 'The Hysteria Tour' and with the band performing the full album in its entirety for the first time in the UK/Ireland.

'Excitable' is currently the only album track never played anywhere in the UK or Ireland. All other songs were played in Ireland and the UK between 1986 to 1992 (and beyond).

Ten cities were played last in December 2015 with new venues being played in London/Birmingham. Liverpool was last played at the same arena in July 2008.

These will be the first Def Leppard UK and Eire tour dates since the sold-out Arena run in late 2015. The band will return to Sheffield Arena for what is sure to be a monumental homecoming show, in addition to their first ever show at The O2, London.

The seminal 1987 “Hysteria” album is rightly seen as a landmark recording in the history of rock music. It was the album that saw Def Leppard conquer the world with global hits such as “Animal”, “Pour Some Sugar On Me”, “Hysteria”, “Armageddon It”, “Love Bites”, “Woman” and “Rocket”. The band will deliver “Hysteria” in full alongside other songs from their incredible catalogue.

Late 2018 will see the band deliver what many UK and Eire fans have been waiting for – the “HYSTERIA” album performed in full plus other Def Leppard hits across eleven arena dates in December 2018 with special guest CHEAP TRICK!

Coinciding with the band’s full catalogue of iconic albums being added to streaming and downloading services, Def Leppard have announced headline UK shows playing the seminal Hysteria in full, as well as other songs from their eleven studio records. They’ll be joined by Cheap Trick across the tour.

Def Leppard’s full recording catalogue is now available worldwide, and has been made available on streaming and download platforms. To date, the band have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, becoming one of rock’s most influential bands.

“It is with a mixture of relief & euphoria that we now see our entire catalogue finally getting a digital release,” says vocalist Joe Elliott. “Having embraced every other format with open arms, especially & more recently the re-emergence of vinyl, we’re now going to be available to everyone everywhere and honestly, it’s as exciting as the original releases were.”

Guitarist Phil Collen adds: “We felt we’d been left out of the digital party, but it’s a thrill for us to finally accept the invitation and to be able to say “Yeah, you can stream us, download us and hear us on all digital outlets”.

The band, completed by Rick Savage, Rick Allen and Vivian Campbell, celebrate an extensive musical history, from their first ever chart hit Wasted through Rock of Ages, Animal, Love Bits and Let’s Get Rocked.

Their catalogue includes two of the best selling albums of fall time, with more than 10 million copies sold of Pyromania and Hysteria in the US alone.

Together they house the likes of Pour Some Sugar on Me, Hysteria and Foolin’.

The rock legends have also announced UK arena dates, during which they will perform Hysteria in full.
