JOE ELLIOTT/PHIL COLLEN To Appear On BBC Sounds Of The 80s Show

Def Leppard members Joe Elliott and Phil Collen are scheduled to appear on BBC TV and Radio show Sounds Of The 80s later this month.

They will appear on the 30th March show on BBC Radio 2 from 10pm to 12am and the TV version will air from 10:30pm on the BBC Red Button channel where it will also be repeated many times during the next couple of days.

This follows Joe and Sav's appearance on BBC One's The One Show in January.

The show is presented by Sara Cox and features guests who were very popular in the 80s talking about their careers whilst showing various videos from the time.

This edition will be a rock special.

BBC Sounds Of The 80s - Show Description

In this rock special, metal legends Joe Elliott and Phil Collen of Def Leppard chat to Sara Cox about their ride through the 80s.

Formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the new wave of British heavy metal, Def Leppard soon became one of the most consistently successful pop-metal groups of the 80s, and are best known for their hits including Animal (1987), Love Bites (1988) and Let’s Get Rocked (1992).

Sara will also be playing some of the hairiest rock anthems from the decade and picking her favourite tracks, with videos from soft rock to heavy metal, via girls who rock and guys with giant hair.
