DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY 2018 Tour In MILWAUKEE, WI (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Milwaukee, WI with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 25,000 capacity American Family Insurance Amphitheater as part of Summerfest.

The band last played Milwaukee on 6th July 2016 on the Summer Tour 2016.

The 11th show the band have played in this city and seventh time at this venue.

The first visit here took place in June 1980 at the Milwaukee Arena as support to Ted Nugent.

The first of four indoor arena shows in this city.

The second appearance here was in November 1987. An In The Round show at Mecca Arena during the Hysteria tour.

This was followed by another In The Round show at the same venue on the Adrenalize in November 1992.

Following their first appearance at Marcus Amphitheater in June 1996 they played the last arena show at US Cellular Arena during the X/Ten tour in March 2003.

All appearances since then have been at the Marcus Amphitheater which has now been renamed as the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

On this second leg the screen visuals for 'Animal' have been updated as shown in some of the photos below.

It rained before the show as seen in one of the photos below with the lawn crowd getting soaked.

'When Love & Hate Collide' was played for the first time in Milwaukee.

The show took place on U.S. Independence Day with Journey's Neal Schon performing 'The Star Spangled Banner' during his guitar solo spot. He had previously played the Canadian anthem at the Toronto show.
