Peter Frampton/The Pretenders To Support DEF LEPPARD/JOURNEY
Def Leppard 2018
Def Leppard/Journey will have two major support bands with them in stadiums in the USA and Canada.
The Pretenders and Peter Frampton have been announced as the opening act for a number of the outdoor stadium shows.
58 dates were confirmed across the USA and Canada from May to October on 19th January.
The tour will include ten outdoor stadiums shows and has Journey as the co-headline act with headlining duty shared by each band as on the 2005 Rock Of Ages tour with Bryan Adams. The capacities of these venues range from 39,000 to over 53,000.
Peter Frampton will open the show in Toronto, ON on 1st June at Rogers Centre.
The Pretenders will open at least three of the USA stadiums shows including 1st July in Atlanta, GA. 13th July in Detroit, MI and 21st July in Denver, CO.
The line-ups for these shows have been listed on ticket sites and by the venues.
The Pretenders released their latest album 'Alone' in October 2016 and are also playing shows in South America and the USA from February to April and have UK shows scheduled in August/September.
Peter Frampton released his latest album 'Acoustic Classics' in February 2016 and has many dates in the USA and Canada scheduled between March to July including shows with the Steve Miller Band.
Note - Foreigner have also been added to the line-up of the San Francisco show on 21st September at AT&T Park. And Cheap Trick will play with them at the shows in Minneapolis, Boston and San Diego ahead of the dates in UK/Ireland.

The stadium shows will have sectioned seating areas on the floor instead of standing/general admission which is more common at UK/Worldwide shows.
Tickets for the North American tour go on general sale on 3rd February following the current pre sale. Some shows are on sale at a later date including some of the stadiums dates.
