The venue is located 2.9 miles North of the main city centre of Hidalgo which is a small city that has a population of under 15,000.

Hidalgo is just North of the larger city of Reynosa which has a population of 670,000 plus people.

It was opened in October 2003 as the Dodge Arena.

It was then called the State Farm Arena from 2010 to 2018, the State Farm Hidalgo Arena from 2018 to 2019 and is now known as Payne Arena.

This concert was rescheduled from 6th February after Joe Elliott's vocal problems.
