The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome. It is the Joe Elliott show once again on the wonderful Planet Rock and this week we are coming to ya from Perth on the last night of our Australian run. Just before we head off to Singapore and then home for a week or so. Tonight's theme is all gonna be about time because wherever you're listening to this show from. I am tomorrow as far as you're concerned. Yeah, really it's bizarre. Time travel. Time zones. It's all a bit messed up. Last week's theme was Australia. The week before Japan. Tonight we'll go with time. and if you think the fact that most of the songs in tonight's show have got the word time in them is gonna make this show very one dimensional. Think again. It's not at all. In fact it's multi dimensional. Just like time travel itself. Something that this band are quite good at. This is Uriah Heep."

The Cybernauts

"From a time when myself and Phil Collen bunked off for a couple of months to work with the late great Trevor Bolder and the late great Dick Decent on keyboards. And the very active these days Woody Woodmansey. He's playing with Holy Holy all over the world at the moment. the band Cybernauts from the studio recordings that is a song called Time. Originally on David Bowie's 1973 Aladdin Sane album."

Show Outro

"From the very first album I ever bought back in 1971 for the princely sum of two pounds and eleven pence. And yes folks I still have the vinyl. It's bent on the corners but I still have it. The album is Every Picture Tells A Story. The artist Rod Stewart and the song Tomorrow Is Such A Long Time. And before that Lone Star featuring the fantastic voice of Mr. John Sloman from the album Firing On All Six we heard Time Lays Down."

"And that my friends all the way from Perth in Australia is about it for this week. I shall be back with you next week at the same time from home. I shall be in Joe's Garage doing the show. Getting over the jet lag and preparing for the Irish and UK tour. I cannot wait. And I promise you that this is the last time that I say the word time. Nice link?. Of course it is. Till next week, this is The Rolling Stones. See ya!."
