The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"We are obviously in a French speaking area of the world of course we are in Quebec, Canada where the Def Leppard tour rolls on for a few more shows having finished the European tour last week in Skanevik, Norway which I couldn't pronounce before I got there either. We have headed West and we just played the Calgary Stampede and we are now in Quebec City where we shall be playing in a few hours time. In some of these festivals sometimes the facilities that they supply are well you may call them basic say. Sometimes you'll be using a plastic cup for a sink. Sometimes you'll be using a large plastic bucket as a toilet and the floor's definitely not been swept well any time this century. But it could be a lot worse we are at least rodent free unlike Aerosmith who in the early part of their career. Well, they had rats in their cellar."

AC/DC/Show outro

"When Def Leppard first started playing back in 1978 we used to frequent a little club underneath a hotel in the center of Sheffield called The Wapentake and many a night we'd play down there and that song would get a run out as best we could do it back in those days. That's of course the original version from AC/DC from the album Let There Be Rock and Problem Child. Greetings once again from Quebec. I shall be with you next week at home. At last we shall be finished. I'm having the summer at home. I'm saying off, not really I shall be in the studio most of the time but nevertheless I'll have plenty of time to share some great music with you people hopefully you can tune in and check out what's on the playlist next week. Until then I'm gonna leave you with a track from an era when the B Sides were as good as the A Sides. From the Kimono My House sessions this is Sparks and a song called Lost And Found. Until next week see ya!"
