The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"What a show we have fun you tonight. Not only is this my 150th show for the station, which in itself for me is worth a celebration. It's also the last night of the Def Leppard European tour. Welcome to Skanevik in Norway. Later on in the show I've got a great interview that I did a couple of weeks ago with Duff McKagan when we were playing in the Kings Of Chaos down in South Africa. Got some fantastic music for you including this from a guy who's playing the same stage as us last night at the same festival on stage at midnight just like we will be. This in Ian Hunter."

Def Leppard

"Just when you should be enjoying a nice cup of coco you're up on stage instead. It's midnight and it's Norway but it's still daylight. It's a weird experience these late night festivals. That from his album When I'm President is Ian Hunter with a song called What For."

Show outro

"The very aptly named Drive-In Saturday there for the venue that we're playing tonight. The Skanevik Blues Festival is a bit of a drive to venue. It's late and it's Saturday night. That is Def Leppard from the YEAH! album from 2006 with our take on the old Aladdin Sane classic by David Bowie."

"And that my friends is it for this week. I shall be back with you next week from Quebec in Canada. My thanks to Duff McKagan for allowing me to interview him. Until next week I'm gonna leave you with this classic track by a classic band who absolutely just blew Glastonbury apart last weekend. From their Live Links album this is the Rolling Stones and Street Fighting Man. Until next week see ya!."
