It was opened in October 1955.

It was closed in November 2004 and then demolished in March 2006.

The first show of the tour with Uriah Heep as support act.

They were touring in support of their 1982 'Abominog' album and featured ex-David Bowie bassist Trevor Bolder.

Trevor would go on to become a member of the Cybernauts with Joe and Phil from 1997 to 2001.

The band would release a new album called 'Head First' in November 1983.
