The venue is located in the East Rutherford area of New Jersey nd within the Meadowlands Sports Complex. It stands not far from the 82,500 capacity MetLife Stadium (formerly Giants Stadium) and is just 10 miles to the west of New York City.
It was opened in July 1981 as the Brendan Byrne Arena. It was also known unofficially as the Meadowlands or Meadowlands Arena.
The venue was then named as Continental Airlines Arena from 2007 to 2015 before renaming as the IZOD Center until its closure in April 2015.
Since closing as a venue the arena has reverted to the name Meadowlands Arena and it used for rehearsals by bands and for TV production.
The band returned to this arena in 2018 to rehearse for their summer tour with Journey.
A decent audience recording exists for this show but does not include 'Travellin' Band' (which may or may not have been played).
