39 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD Officially Start PYROMANIA World Tour In BELFAST (Photos)
Def Leppard 1983
Def Leppard played the first official show of the Pyromania world tour in Belfast, Northern Ireland on this day 39 years ago in 1983.
The show took place at Ulster Hall and was also the first ever visit to the country.
This was the first official show of the tour following two warm=up dates.
The 9th February 1983 show in London and The Marquee Club had been the first with then new member Phil Collen.
It was followed up by the first Irish show in Dublin and the small T.V. Club venue.
The first big show then took place in Belfast at a venue where future guitarist Vivian Campbell had seen his first ever live show.
This show was also one of the few, and possible only, show where Joe wore a Leopard Print shirt before switching to the more familiar Union Jack one seen throughout 1983 and in the 'Photograph' promo video.
