Photographer ANTON CORBIJN On First DEF LEPPARD Photo Session/New Band Pic

Def Leppard 2022

Def Leppard worked with famed photographer Anton Corbijn for the new Diamond Star Halos album and he commented on the session.

'Diamond Star Halos' is the band's 12th studio album.

As announced on 17th March it will be released on Friday 27th May 2022.

For the new photos to accompany the album the band have worked with famous Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn.

Best known for his photo and video work with Depeche Mode since 1986 including the 1989 'Personal Jesus' video.

A song Def Leppard would go on to cover for the 'Spotify Singles' session in 2018.

He also worked with U2 including the iconic shots used for 'The Joshua Tree' and 'Achtung Baby' albums.

Anton has posted on Instagram and said the shoot with Def Leppard was "a blast" and that they were "open to trying new stuff".

Interestingly he also mentions "album and tour" by Def Leppard suggesting he may have worked on thhe tour visuals as well. Something he has done for Depeche Mode as well as their videos and photo shoots.
