Def Leppard 2022

Def Leppard have today released a new single called KICK and announced a new studio album for May.

'Diamond Star Halos', which borrows it's title from the T. Rex song 'Get It On', will be the band's 12th studio album.

The first studio album since 2015 was announced earlier today and is out on Friday 27th May 2022.

The single 'Kick' has been released today and is available to purchase and to stream.

Its credits reveal it was written by Phil Collen.

Like some of Phil's most recent Def Leppard contributions it mixes in the styles of both Manraze and Delta Deep.

And sure enough Debbi Blackwell-Cook guetss on the song with Phil also having a strong presence on the main vocals alongside Joe.

Interestingly it is also a co-write with on outside writer named Dave Bassett.

Dave is also listed among the song's backing vocalists.

Guest Singer Debbi Blackwell-Cook

Delta Deep singer Debbi Blackwell-Cook is listed as a guest background vocalist on the song.

She previously lent her vocals to the song 'Sea Of Love' on the 2015 'Def Leppard' album.

Guest Singer/Co-Writer Dave Bassett

Songwriter/producer Dave Bassett is listed as a co-writer with Phil on this track.

He is also listed as having provided backing vocals.

He 'seems' to be this Dave Bessett who is listed as a Grammy award winning writer and producer.

His credits include Josh Groban, Vance Joy, Weezer, Daughtry and Shinedown.

Not to be confused with the ex-Sheffield United football manager.
