Voice Over Intro

"His career is celebrated with Induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as lead singer for Def Leppard. Joe Elliott. Now he's sharing his passion for deep classic rock with stories and music from his personal collection. Welcome to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on Deep Tracks."

Show Intro

"Welcome my fellow music lovers and welcome once again to Songs From The Vault. Right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and for the next hour or so I'm gonna take you on a little trip through my personal record collection. Some great memories and more importantly some great songs. Like this one from Aerosmith."

Aerosmith

"And before that one of the few bands on the planet that can actually keep reinventing themselves yet still sound the same. Aerosmith fantastic stuff from a very underrated album I think Just Push Play. Title track in fact."

Queen

"I have always loved that version of that song. Ever since I first heard it on the BBC session that Queen did when they were promoting their then current album News Of The World back in 1977. It can be found these day on the deluxe re-release from three years ago. It is what we call the fast version of We Will Rock You."

Marizane - Sad Foolish Robot

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. Now a couple of artists that were both produced by the legendary Tony Visconti. Starting off with Kristeen Young."

"And before that we heard the wonderful Kristeen Young from the album, again great title this one, Music For Strippers, Hookers And The Odd Onlooker. The song Son Of Man. Both those last two songs produced by legendary Tony Visconti who I discovered as a kid as Bowie's producer and of course Marc Bolan and T. Rex as producer."

Marizane

"I discovered that band when their keyboard player, a lovely young lady called Debbie Shair, was moonlighting as a backup musician for Heart when they opened for Def Leppard about ten years ago. The band are called Marizane. The album that that song comes from is named oddly enough Songs From The Album Hypercube Sideshow. A great bit of work. The song is called Sad Foolish Robot."

Genesis

"You're listening to SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. This is Songs From The Vault. I'm Joe Elliott and this is Genesis."

"And before that from the album Wind And Wuthering we heard Genesis with the Eleventh Earl Of Mar."

Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young

"Before that we heard Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young. From their box set collection with Suite: Judy Blue Eyes."

Voice Over

""He's a rock and roll hall of fame inductee curating some of the music that influenced his career. Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault continues on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks."

Alice Cooper

"It's hard to imagine that that album is now 50 years old. I bought it which means I was eleven when I bought that record. Much to my mother's horror no doubt. It is Alice Cooper. Happy 50th anniversary Live It To Death. Great song called Black Juju."

The Tubes

"You're listening to Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Track. I'm Joe Elliott and these next couple of songs are very very theatrical. And this first track is quite possibly the sexiest song ever written and recorded. This is The Tubes."

"And before that The Tubes. Unbelievable stuff from the album Young And Rich with Don't Touch Me There."

Hedwig And The Angry Inch

"If you've never seen the stage play I heartily suggest you go and see it. Well as soon as lockdown is lifted and we're allowed back in theatres. If you've never seen the movie. Rent it. Get it on Netflix. Wherever it's available. It's a fantastic bit of work. It is Hedwig And The Angry Inch. It's a great soundtrack. It's a brilliant movie. The song we just heard Midnight Radio."

The Pretty Things

"I'm Joe Elliott. You're listening to Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And now a track from an album that was very critically acclaimed in the late 60s. In fact it's quite possibly the first ever concept album. Yes even before The Who. This is The Pretty Things."

"And before that we heard The Pretty Things. Brilliant stuff from an album called S.F. Sorrow. As I mentioned quite possibly the first ever concept record recorded. Released in 1968. The song that we just heard Walking Through My Dreams."

Be Bop Deluxe

"They had a couple of years in the sun in the UK and they almost broke big in the US. Led by the brilliantly talented Mr. Bill Nelson. We just heard Be Bop Deluxe from their fourth album Modern Music with a great bit of work called Down On Terminal Street."

Show Outro

"You have been listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And that my friends is about if for this particular show."

"It's been a great pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next time with more of the same only just a little bit different. So we'll finish with what I like to call a bit of a stonker. From 1980. The title track. Motorhead and Ace Of Spades."

"Until next time take care of yourselves."
