Show Intro

"Greetings everyone. Welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the magnificent Planet Rock. Great to be with you again. What have we got tonight. Sixty minutes is all I have. So we better get started. Time to power up. This is Acca Dacca."

AC/DC

"It did really well when it was released. It'll be interesting to see how it picks up again if and when touring starts. It kind of starts and then it stops and then it starts again. Hopefully it'll all kind of ease off and we'll be able to get back to normal again pretty soon. But there from the album Power Up is indeed AC/DC with Realize."

Klubber Lang

"Now here's an interesting piece of work for ya. This is Klubber Lang."

"And before that the band Klubber Lang. Named after the character (Clubber Lang) played by Mr. T in Rocky III. He was Rocky Balboa's opponent in that particular movie. They were formed in the early 90s. featuring on bass and vocals Ciaran McGoldrick who was in the band SIC with Ricky Warwick which is the band he formed directly after The Almighty split up. And the keyboard player in Klubber Lang is no less than Mr. Ronan McHugh Def Leppard's long time co-producer and engineer. What a noise they make too. The single is called Sleep Well."

Manraze

"Now that song has been knocking around in my head all week so I thought I better give it a spin. It is Phil Collen's side band Manraze. Featuring on bass Simon Laffy once his colleague in the band Girl. And on drums Paul Cook ex-Sex Pistols. What a noise they make. The album is Surreal. The song we heard Entertainment."

Foo Fighters

"Now I'm a firm believer in the fact that you can't really go wrong with a good NA NA NA. And here's a couple of bands to prove the point. Starting off with the Foo Fighters."

"And before that the Foo Fighters from their most latest and greatest bit of work Medicine At Midnight with Makin' A Fire."

The Mooney Suzuki

"Now that's a song I first discovered when it was featured in a TV advert in the States many many moons ago. Possibly the band were picked because the name of the car is featured in the name of the band. The band are The Mooney Suzuki. And the song has become a firm favourite of mine over the years. It's the title track of the album Alive And Amplified."

"You're listening to The Joe Elliott Show on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming up we're heading for first base with Babe Ruth."

Babe Ruth

"Before that Babe Ruth who I saw a bunch of times with Jenny Hahn singing fantastic lead vocals. Sheffield Top Rank in the mid 70s. Wonderful stuff. The album is First Base. The song Wells Fargo."

Crosby Stills Nash Young

"Vocal harmonies to die for. Absolutely fantastic stuff there from Crosby Stills Nash and Young. It's from the box set The Song Is Sweet. Judy Blue Eyes."

Lynyrd Skynyrd

"Now I'd wager not many bands have based their name on their old PE teacher. But this lot did. This is Lynyrd Skynyrd."

"And before that Lynyrd Skynyrd. Named after Leonard Skinner who was their PE teacher when most of the band went to the same school I'm guessing. It's from the album Pronounced Lynyrd Skynyrd. And the song is Gimme Three Steps."

Montrose

"Featuring one of my favourite all time rock singers. And what a great guy as well. The great guy and favourite rock singer is Sammy Hagar. The band Montrose from their second and final album with Sammy actually. The title track Paper Money."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. But you know that already. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time."

"So until then I shall leave you with this wonderful bit of work from 1973. The album is Band On The Run. The band Paul McCartney And Wings. The song Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five."

"Until next week see ya!."
