Def Leppard appeared on CNN's The Fourth In America TV special last night with two recorded live songs included.

The band had played at Citi Field on 24th June during The Stadium Tour with footage recorded there for this event.

As mentioned yesterday 'The Fourth In America' special TV was broadcast last night by the CNN news channel.

The show ran for over 4 hours on the main USA CNN channel and around the world on CNN International.

The UK coverage turned out to be longer than the advertised one hour length and covered the full show.

Def Leppard's performances of 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' and 'Rock Of Ages' from 24th June were included around two hours into the show and ended just before 3am UK time.

This followed performances by Pitbull, Avril Lavigne, Ava Max, The B-52s and Journey among others.

Before then a spectacular fireworks display was shown from Washington D.C. near the Lincoln Memorial as The United States Air Force Band played a medley of ten traditional songs.

The New York City fireworks display was equally impressive.

No weather delays with recorded footage but the broadcast itself did not start on time.

Flushing New York Footage

'Pour Some Sugar On Me' and 'Rock Of Ages' were shown from the Flushing, NY show played on 24th June 2022 during The Stadium Tour.

The footage was played during continued coverage of the fireworks display in New York City which had started with 3 songs by Journey including a great performance of 'The Star Spangled Banner' by Neal Schon and their mega hits 'Don't Stop Believin'' and 'Any Way You Want It'.

Like their performance (taped in Nashville), Def Leppard's show footage was shown both full screen and on the left corner of the screen alongside live footage of fireworks.

Broadcast delayed

The show time was delayed by 45 minutes due to an extended edition of evening news programme 'The Situation Room'.

The show was covering breaking news from the 4th Of July parade mass shooting in a Chicago suburb which had occurred earlier in the day.
