Def Leppard bassist Rick Savage will perform at the Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins Tribute concert in Los Angeles.

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins's died in Bogota, Colombia on Friday 25th March just ahead of a planned festival show.

The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts were first announced in June.

The first show took place Wembley Stadium in London, England on Saturday 3rd September.

Rick Savage has now been added to the line-up for the second show on Tuesday 27th September at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, CA.

Sav paid tribute to Taylor in March the day after his death stating that - "He was the epitome of the modern day rock star" and that he was in a - "state of shock and sadness" at the news.

Phil also revealed in his tribute that he had known Taylor even before he joined Alanis Morissette's touring band in 1995 for her massive album 'Jagged Little Pill'.

Alanis will also perform at this event along with the bass player from that band, Chris Chaney, who now plays with Jane's Addiction.

Joe Elliott and Phil Collen were already announced for this show on 17th August.

Unlike the London show this one is not being streamed online or broadcast on TV.

Joe met Dave Grohl for the first time during their virtual chat for Planet Rock in October 2021.

Def Leppard - Taylor Hawkins Tribute March 26th 2022 Quotes

Rick Savage

"I’ve just woken up to the horrible news of Taylor Hawkins’s passing. I’m in a state of shock and sadness. He was the epitome of the modern day rock star and an inspiration to kids everywhere, including this rather old one. Deepest sympathy to his family, friends and fans. Gone too soon but too good for us."

Phil Collen

“Just heard the tragic news about Taylor and having known him for about 30 years this hit home pretty hard. Taylor was the sweetest, funniest guy so I watched with joy and excitement as he progressed from working in a local music store, to playing with Alanis Morissete and ultimately joining up with Dave and the Foos. His talent grew exponentially as did his success but he always remained just like that kid I would see at Laguna beach with his boogie board. He will be incredibly missed. Much love to his family and band mates."

Joe Elliott

"I just woke up to my phone buzzing like crazy … I can’t believe it …. Farewell to THE best modern drummer & free spirit on the planet, I’m devastated."
