Def Leppard played show number 12 of The Stadium Tour in Detroit, MI last night with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 41,297 capacity Comerica Park.

The first show in Detroit since July 2018 on the Journey co-headline tour.

The 25th show by the band in this city and second time at this venue.

The first visit here took place in August 1981 supporting Ozzy Osbourne during the High 'n' Dry tour.

Sunshine was forecast and all looked good for the return to Detroit Rock City.

After a great night in Chicago nothing would change right?.

Show #12 - Band Mix Up The Setlist

Wrong! - but thankfully not the weather which was perfect.

26C and bright sunshine saw the band open with the usual 'Take What You Want'.

Joe was sporting sunglasses again and ready to sing one of the songs for the second time in two days in this venue following a guest spot here the night before with Billy Joel.

He and Phil took to the Thrust stage right after song number 1.

Let It Go/Promises/3 Songs Dropped

After a quick "Good evening Detroit!" from Joe, Phil's presence so early on the Thrust was revealed as he started the opening riff of 'Let It Go'.

This song was last played in November 2019 in Sacramento. The final show played before the pandemic hit. View footage of this below in two of the Instagram posts.

The following five songs seemed to indicate that would be the only change but it was not.

A rousing version of 'Promises' was played in place of 'Excitable' - also last played at the final show of 2019.

And then the changes kept coming in the acoustic section.

Acoustic Section Changes

'Two Steps Behind' was played by Joe, Sav, Phil and Vivian on the Thrust stage after 'This Guitar'.

It was also the full version and not just the first verse and chorus. Joe sang the last line of "I'll be Two Steps Behind..." by himself as the rest of the band walked to the main stage to start 'Rocket'.

With the full version of TSB played there was no room for 'Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad' which like 'Fire It Up' and 'Excitable' appears to have been dropped, at least for now.

17 songs were played in all.

With TSB not having been a full version the band were really only playing 17 songs and not 18 before this. Although the short version of TSB was enough to consider it a full song rather than a snippet.

Motley Crue

The regular 15 song setlist played once more.

Poison

Poison played 7 songs having played 9 songs at their solo show the night before in Pikeville, KY at Appalachian Wireless Arena.

Both new songs to the show were last played on 19th November 2019 in Sacramento, CA. 'Fire It Up', 'Excitable' and 'Have You Ever...' all dropped from the show.
