Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed and mentioned the new Diamond Star Halos album and his children.

'Diamond Star Halos' is the band's 12th studio album.

Announced on 17th March and then released on Friday 27th May 2022.

Joe has been interviewed by ET Canada ahead of the upcoming Canadian Stadium Tour shows.

It was recorded ahead of the tour while he was still at home in Dublin.

What does life look like on tour for you now. I know you have this big tour coming up. You know when you think of what it used to be like back in the day.

Joe Elliott - "The order of the day for me always has been after a gig Shut up. Have a glass of wine or whatever your tipple is and then turn on Netflix or whatever the streaming thing is."

Joe Elliott - "Because movies, great TV shows, they need your attention."

What are you watching on Netflix?

Joe Elliott - "At the moment I'm looking forward to the fourth season of Stranger Things. I've just finished a show called Slow Horses which was amazing. Love that you know."

Amazing show. Yes the iconic rockers will be playing songs off their new album Diamond Star Halos. But don't expect Joe's two kids to come along for the ride. How has life changed for you since your kids?

Joe Elliott - "Drastically. You know it's not all about me any more is it."

Do they know you're a huge rock star?

Joe Elliott - "They use the words rock star but I don't think they realise, you know, the context of it all. But they sing along.

Joe Elliott - "They were the first people on the planet outside of the band to know the lyrics to all the songs."

Joe Elliott - "And the kids are in the car and they're like the third time they heard the songs they were singing them word for word."

Joe Elliott - "So it was really weird."
