Def Leppard played another show on The World Tour 2023 last night in Thun, Switzerland with 17 songs performed.
The show took place at the 10,000 capacity Stockhorn Arena.
The first show in this city.
A return to Switzerland.
Sunshine In Switzerland
After the heat of Portugal and Spain the band brought The World Tour to Switzerland and the mountains.
The mountains were alive with the sound of rock.
The Stockhorn Arena being surrounded by mountain ranges (much like the rest of this country of course).
So the view inside was similar to the show in Monterrey, Mexico with the mountains visible over the stands.
10,000 plus fans packed the stadium for the last night of the European tour.
Daylight Show
No late finish at this show with the band starting at 7pm and they were bathed in sunshine for the whole set.
Vivian again wearing sunglasses for the whole show.
The video screens still partly obscured by the sun even as the show ended with 'Photograph'.
Europe
And to tie in with the last night of the mainland European leg of this tour they were joined again by some old friends once more.
Europe opened the show having played before Def Leppard at Trondheim Rocks.
17 Song Setlist
The same 17 song setlist played once more.
All three 'Diamond Star Halos' songs played in Switzerland for the first time.
Switzerland History
The band first played in Switzerland in June 1981 in Lausanne and again in December 1981.
They returned in October 1983 at the Volkshaus in Zurich.
Two shows followed in Zurich and Lausanne in March 1988 on the Hysteria tour.
Both cities were played again in May 1993 on the Adrenalize tour.
Shows in Geneva and Zurich followed on the Slang tour in October/November 1996.
A show in Winterthur took place on the X/Ten tour in November 2003.
Zurich was played again in June 2006 on the YEAH! tour.
Their first and only festival here was played in Hinwil in June 2019.
Last night's show was the 13th performance in Switzerland where most of their recent albums have gone Top 5 of Top 10.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in London, England on 1st July.
