Def Leppard played a Slang tour show in Geneva, Switzerland on 24th October 1996 and video footage is available.

The show took place at the 6,500 capacity Geneva Arena.

The first time the band had played here since March 1983 on the Pyromania tour at the Salles Des Fetes de Thonex.

The 14th date of the European 'Slang' tour which had begun in Oslo, Norway on 5th October.

The show lasted for 1 hour 38 minutes with fellow UK band Terrorvision as the opening act. A band who had opened the 1993 Don Valley Stadium show in Sheffield.

The 20 song setlist featured four new songs from the 'Slang' album including the title track, 'Work It Out', 'Deliver Me' and 'All I Want Is Everything'.

Joe played a short snippet of the Oasis song 'Live Forever' before 'Two Steps Behind' .

They sang part of the verse and chorus of Free song 'All Right Now' during the extended intro to 'Rock Of Ages'. A tradition on this tour when they would play various classic songs leading into ROA including this song and 'Wild Thing'.

The staging on this tour was more minimal compared to the 1992/1993 tour but still featured some great lighting effects set against the plain backdrop.
