Show Intro

"Greetings music lovers and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the marvellous Planet Rock. Great to be with you as always. What have we got for you tonight on this wonderful autumnal night. Yes they are drawing in these evenings. Fingers crossed that we don't go into another lockdown. So let's have sixty minutes worth of awesome music. Starting off with my boy."

Ricky Warwick

"I'm not sure of the exact release date of the album, but it's coming out really soon. And I do believe that it's called When Life Was Hard. It's that fresh he may have changed the title, I'm not sure. But it is Ricky Warwick of course. These days the leader of occasionally Thin Lizzy mostly Black Star Riders and once of The Almighty. Great new song called Fighting Hot."

The Struts

"Well as we're loving a bit of brand new. This is still brand new."

" And before that brand new The Struts from their latest album Strange Days. Go out and get it it's a great album. The song featuring myself and Mr. Phil Collen on the guitar is I Hate How Much I Want You."

Mott The Hoople

"Ahh the hit that never was. Along with Saturday Gigs as it happens. That from 1974 the second last song they ever released is Mott The Hoople. There taken from their anthology collection because it was never actually on an album at the time. The song is Foxy Foxy."

John Lennon

"Now because of last week's guitar hero show which was essentially a tribute to the late great Eddie Van Halen. I missed a couple of what I would consider significant anniversaries. One of them only a year. But the other one 40 years since his passing. So here with a brilliant remix overseen vy his very own son Sean is the late great John Lennon."

"And before that John Lennon. The great John Lennon. The album released on what would have been his 80th birthday. Gone 40 years now. 19 brilliant remixes overseen by his very own son Sean Ono Lennon. The track we just heard the title track Gimme Some Truth ."

Down 'n' Outz

"Yeo hard to believe but that album has just celebrated its first birthday. And not only that it was voted album of the year 2019 by the listeners of Planet Rock and the readers of the sadly now defunct magazine. So thank you everyone who voted from the bottom of our rock and roll hearts. From myself from Paul, Keith, Griff, Phil and Shazza for doing that. Amazing stuff. it is the Down 'n' Outz. The album is This Is How We Roll. The song we just heard Creatures."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show on the marvellous Planet Rock. It's time for a little break, and when we come back, a momentary lapse of reason re-imagined by Pink Floyd."

Pink Floyd

"And before that we heard Pink Floyd. It's A Momentary Lapse Of Reason but it's the remix from 2019 which got rid of all that nasty 80s reverb. The track we heard The Dogs Of War."

Ozzy Osbourne

"That is such a beautiful song. God bless Ozzy Osbourne. He's always worn his Beatles heart on his sleeve. He's never been shy to tell the world they're his favourite ever band. And there shining through for all to hear is the influence. That is the title track from his latest album Ordinary Man. Which features Slash on the lead guitar. And lead vocals and piano by Elton John."

Gary Moore

"Right then here with a little bit of what we might call Celtic warrior rock, if there's such a thing, is Gary Moore."

"And before that Gary Moore. Fantastic work. Brilliant brilliant production. The album is Wild Frontier. The song Over The Hills And Far Away."

Alice Cooper

"They may have broke through in 1972 but that song is from the album that really sealed the deal. 1973's Billion Dollar Babies. It is Alice Cooper with Generation Landslide."

Montrose

"Now it's pretty common knowledge that one of my favourite rock singers of all time is Mr. Sammy Hagar. But it's also true to say that his replacement in this next band Mr. Bob James was no slouch either. Here from their final and Hagar free album are Montrose."

"And before that from their fourth and final album. Featuring Bob James on vocals who replaced the wonderful Sammy Hagar. We heard the title track Jump On It."

"You know what I think that may well be my favourite Rush album of them all. It is Farewell To Kings. There taken from the 40th anniversary re-release is Cinderella Man."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about is for this week. It's been a real pleasure. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time for more of the same only just a little bit different."

"So until then I'm gonna leave you with this. A song that gave birth to a thousand f...f...f...fake stutters. This is The Who and My Generation. Until next week see ya. "
