Def Leppard announced 11 new dates for their Hits Canada Canadian tour on this day in 2019.

The tour was confirmed to start on 12th July in Halifax, NS and finish in Calgary, AB on 31st July.

The band had last played a full Canadian tour in April/May 2015 to start the world tour that supported the self-titled studio album released in the same year. 13 shows were played with One Bad Son and Trapper.

Since that tour shows took place in Quebec City and Toronto (2016), Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver (2017) and two shows in 2018 (Toronto and Vancouver).

Tesla were also announced as the support band once again after playing with Def Leppard for multiple tours since 2015.

These tour dates followed on from the UK/European tour which contained 15 shows in 12 countries played in June/July 2019.

The Canadian dates included cities not played for many years such as Moncton, New Brunswick which was played for the first time since in August 2003 on the X/Ten tour.

Halifax, NS was also be played for the first time since August 2003 on the same tour.

Tickets for the tour went on sale from Friday 18th January.

To date there are no Canadian dates on the The Stadium Tour in 2020 but Joe recently suggested that could change either this year or in 2021.
