On This Day in Def Leppard History - 31st December, the following concerts and events took place. Including Rick Allen's car accident on New Year's Eve 1984.

The accident which took place on the A57 road outside of Sheffield, England robbed Rick of his left arm.

Also on this day in 1999 the band played their last show of the 20th Century in Chicago, IL during the Euphoria tour and debuted a new song '21st Century Sha La La La Girl'.

The encore took place after the chimes of Big Ben were played to mark the start of the New Year and the New Millennium. The first song played in 2000 was '21st Century Sha La La La Girl' for the only recorded time followed by 'Let It Go'.

Other New Year's Eve shows took place in Tampa, FL 1987 on the Hysteria tour and Phoenix, AZ in 1992 during the Adrenalize tour. Both 'In The Round' shows.
