Def Leppard's appearance on Sammy Hagar's Rock & Roll Road Trip show will premiere 19th April and a new clip is available.

Sammy attended the 4th September 2019 show at Zappos Theater in Las Vegas during the Sin City Residency.

Joe later revealed on his weekly Planet Rock show that they had filmed for an episode of 'Rock & Roll Road Trip'.

AXS TV have announced last week that the fifth season of the show will premiere with the Def Leppard episode titled "Viva Def Vegas" on Sunday, 19th April 2020.

They have now posted a short preview clip of the show on YouTube with Joe and Sammy talking about Def Leppard's band loyalty.

Watch the video below which includes footage of them playing during the soundcheck of the 4th September 2019 show.

The 30 minute 'Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar' show started in 2016 and 44 episodes have aired over four seasons.

During the day he interviewed Joe for the show and also jammed with the band at their soundcheck on a cover of the Montrose classic 'Bad Motor Scooter'.

The show features Sammy interviewing his rock and roll friends and often jamming on classic songs with them.

September 2019 marked 40 years since the band opened for Sammy on his 1979 UK tour for four shows including their public debut in London.

Sammy Hagar - Seeing you guys then and sitting here with you now it seems that with all that you've been through and went through and everything. The fact that you guys stuck together and did all that and you're still here today and doing better than ever or as good as ever. How did that happen for you?.

Joe Elliott - "Well the sticking together part was kinda simple really. We came from a real Northern English working class background. Where you just know that you're either gonna become a soccer player, a musician or a bank robber."

"You know that it. Or it's factory life, but if you want something outside of a factory they're your three options."

"The sticking together part just comes from that working class background of like you've got this possibly only one chance to do something with your life that's so extraordinary compared to what everybody else in your kind of locale is doing. That we were scared to do anything but you know. And when Rick lost his arm the way that we'd become even then only five years as a band. We were so tight that it's like well you don't kick your brother out of your family if he has an accident. So if he can't do this it's up to him to tell us. And that gave him the confidence to give it a go."

Sammy Hagar - It's so coo.. I mean so unheard of in rock. I mean I've been thrown out of so many bands. You go all the way with these people to the top. sell a gazillion records and do all this stuff and then all of a sudden they throw you out because, for some ego trip or something.

Joe Elliott - "I never got that, especially those two bands. Two of my favourites."

Sammy Hagar - Yeah I've been through a lot, thrown out of two. But it's OK. I'm happy.
