A week where once again the world was on lockdown.
The Stadium Tour Update
As in no updates about the tour...yet.
But Jon Bon Jovi said this to Howard Stern on 16th April:
"We may never tour. This could be the end of touring, who knows. the more I read...but you can't get caught up in hearsay. Everybody's got an opinion these days. But yes I've read these articles that 2020 is out of the question. 2021 is possibly out of the question. So in 2022 when they tell you you can't play to 50,000 people any more do you go 'Oh well, I can't tour the way we used to.' So yeah it's all things to consider. Two weeks today I was supposed to be in your studio with the new album playing it in its entirety. This was the week of rehearsals. You know so I'm thinking of all these things now, they're being taken away."
Note - Bon Jovi have now cancelled their entire North American tour.
Billy's Got A Gun Live Video/Download Single
'Billy's Got A Gun' live from Las Vegas 2019 was released as a video on YouTube this week.
The first full preview to be released from the 'Hits Vegas' portion of the 'London To Vegas' box set due on 29th May.
A day later it was made available as a digital download and on streaming services.
More videos and downloads are likely to be released ahead of the box set with just over one month still to go.
Rock And Roll Road Trip Episode Premiere
The band's taped appearance from September 2019 in Las Vegas, NV for Sammy Hagar's Rock And Roll Road Trip was shown on US TV.
The first episode of season 5 premiered on 19th April in the USA on AXS TV.
It featured an interview with Joe Elliott and the band playing Montrose classic 'Bad Motor Scooter' with Sammy in soundcheck at Zappos Theater in September 2019.
Joe Elliott Show NHS Special
Joe dedicated his latest Planet Rock radio show to the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK.
"We are dedicating tonight's show 100 percent to the doctors, nurses and the healthcare workers, almost a song there, that work for the NHS and beyond."
"These people are putting their own lives on the line working way beyond the call of duty to look after the most vulnerable of us in this incredibly tough time that we are living through."
He also ended the show with this:
"These guys are doing a wonderful job. these ladies are doing a wonderful job. Please support them the best you can."
