Voice Over Intro

"T. Rex, Mott The Hoople and David Bowie were just some of the artists who ignited his fuse to make music. His career is celebrated with Induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as lead singer for Def Leppard. Joe Elliott. Now he's sharing his passion for deep classic rock with stories and music from his personal collection. Welcome to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on Deep Tracks."

Show Intro

"Greetings fellow music lovers and welcome once again to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault right here on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. It is great to be with you one more time. I just finished a residency with Def Leppard at Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. Three and a half weeks, 12 shows. 12 different sets, 12 different fantastic audiences. It was a brilliant time. Can;t wait to do it again. But it is done and dusted and I am now as they say on a family vacation. I'm on the beach but just not this particular beach ."

"I am Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks."

Ramones

"And before that the Ramones from their Mania Collection. I'm sure the beach is just as good as the one I'm on. It is Rockaway Beach."

Montrose

"Along with the shows that we did in Vegas we did a lot of media stuff too including one episode of Sammy Hagar's Rock And Roll Road Trip. Which was a fantastic experience for us because not only did we did a great interview with Sammy but also the band performed during one of the soundchecks a version of Bad Motor Scooter with Sammy Hagar for that show. Can't wait for that to be broadcast. However instead of playing that particular song I thought I would play the title track of their second album. They being Montrose when Sammy was the singer. It is the title track of the album Paper Money."

Fanny

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault and this is how the ladies do it."

"And before that from 1972 the album is Fanny Hill. I heard this song for the first time when it was given away on a Flex0Disc single in the NME in the UK when I was a 12 year old kid. What a fantastic song. The band is Fanny. The song Blind Alley."

Fleetwood Mac

"From one of the biggest selling albums of all time and featuring one of the most hypnotic performers. I am talking of course of Stevie Nicks. That is Fleetwood Mac from the album Rumours with Gold Dust Woman."

Doctors Of Madness

"I'm Joe Elliott. This is Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks and one of my favourite bands of all time has just released a brand new album 41 years since their last one. This is the Doctors Of Madness."

"And before that absolutely brand spanking new music from the Doctors Of Madness. 41 years since their last album came out. This new album is called Dark Times. The song we heard Sour Hour."

Sensational Alex Harvey Band

"Before that hailing from Scotland we heard the Sensational Alex Harvey Band who in the mid 70s were absolutely huge in Great Britain. From the album Next which came out in 1973 we heard The Last Of The Teenage Idols."

Voice Over

"He's toured the world as lead singer of Def Leppard. These are his stories and music from his personal collection. Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks."

Japan

"Now that band is almost impossible to pigeon hole because album by album they changed their sound so radically. They started out as a band that looked like a cross between New York Dolls and Hanoi Rocks. They absolutely influenced the likes of Duran Duran and when I saw them open for Blue Oyster Cult in 1977 it was one of probably the biggest mismatches in the history of Rock and Roll. But they were fantastic. They are Japan from their album Adolescent Sex we just heard the song Lovers On Main Street."

Duff McKagan

"You're listening to Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. I'm Joe Elliott and if I'm asked at the end of this year to name my Top Ten favourite albums in 2019 I can guarantee this one will absolutely be in the Top Five. And I'm very proud to announce that because this guy is a really good mate of mine and I love him to death. This is Duff McKagan."

"And before that Duff McKagan from what I believe is his second legit solo album. the album is called Tenderness. What a great great album it is. The song we heard Don't Look Behind You."

Pugwash

"A little known song writer by the name of Tommy Walsh fronts that band. He's obviously a huge fan of the likes of The Beatles and Jeff Lynne. But he has written some magnificent music and the band that he fronts have put out about half a dozen great albums. They are called Pugwash. the album Silver Lake. the song we just heard Better Than Nothing At All."

"You;re listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And after a couple of songs that are a little laid back ot one that's full on. This is The Vapors."

"And before that I'm told they've reformed so no doubt they're encoring with this one 'cause as far as I know it's the only hit they ever had. they are The Vapors. The song Turning Japanese."

Eddie Money

"I was very sad when I read of the passing of Eddie Money. Over the years I've had some hilarious encounters with that gentleman. In fact back in September of 1983 Eddie Money opened for Def Leppard when we headlined our first ever stadium show in America at Jack Murphy in San Diego. The first song I ever heard and bought by Eddie Money was that particular song. It is Two Tickets To Paradise."

Show Outro/Down 'n' Outz

"You have been listening to Joe Elliott's Songs From The Vault on SiriusXM's Deep Tracks. And that's about it for another show, but as they say as one door closes another one opens. As the Def Leppard touring schedule for 2019 comes to a grinding halt. Well actually we've got a couple left."

"Another door opens in the fact that the brand new and third studio album by my side project the Down 'n' Outz is released 11th October. And this is the opening track. This one;'s called Another Man's War. Be safe out there."
