DEF LEPPARD's JOE ELLIOTT w/ INXS Singer Michael Hutchence (Photo)

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was photographed with Michael Hutchence of INXS at an event in London in June 1992.

Today marks 22 years since the INXS singer was found dead in his hotel room in Sydney, Australia aged 37.

The band had been about to start a 20th anniversary tour of Australia and New Zealand at the time.

Band members and their official Twitter account once again posted tributes.

Joe was photographed with Michael on 26th June 1992 at the Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Awards show which took place at the InterContinental Hotel in London, England.

The same day as the opening night of their two shows at Earls Court Arena.

Def Leppard were awarded a Silver Clef award for outstanding contribution to British music.

Joe commented on a different photo from the same event for The Sunday Mirror in March of this year and recently played INXS on his weekly Planet Rock radio show. Describing them (quite rightly) as 'magnificent'.

INXS were initially formed as The Farriss Brothers in 1977, the same year Def Leppard formed.

The brothers were mentioned by Joe on his radio show in 2015 when they attended one of the band's Australian shows.
